ONE VISIT DENTAL CROWNS
Today thanks to modern CAD CAM technology, we can prepare and manufacture in our Sydney CBD Dental Practice a dental crown in one day, often in one visit using the CEREC system.
The traditional method of restoring a tooth with a dental crown would usually involve two visits to your dentist at least a week apart while the dental crown was fabricated offsite. It included multiple dentist visits and injections and the wearing of an often uncomfortable temporary dental crown. Today thanks to modern CAD CAM technology, we can prepare and manufacture a dental crown in one day, usually in one visit using the CEREC system.
Your tooth is prepared and scanned with an intraoral scanner and a dental crown manufactured in our porcelain mill immediately. It is custom glazed and coloured and then fired in our porcelain furnace.
It can be done while you wait, prepared before work and cemented at lunchtime or after work. It can be developed in the afternoon, made overnight and cemented the next day.
In all cases, because it is cemented soon after preparation, the fit is excellent. Contact us for a dental consultation, and we will advise you about the best dental restoration option for you.
